How to delete an AI Agent

You can permanently delete an AI Agent from the Dev Settings section of that agent.

Deleting an AI Agent cannot be undone.

Before you delete an AI Agent

Before deleting an agent, make sure you no longer need its configuration or version history.

Deleting an AI Agent permanently removes:

• Development version
• Production version
• Webhook configuration
• Version history

If the AI Agent is currently published, the live agent will also be removed.

If the agent has an active webhook, that webhook will stop working after deletion.

How to delete an AI Agent

1. Open the AI Agent you want to delete.
2. Open Dev Settings.
3. Scroll to the Danger Zone.
4. Click Delete AI Agent.
5. Review the deletion confirmation window.
6. Type the AI Agent name exactly as shown.
7. Click Delete Agent to confirm.

The agent is permanently deleted after you confirm.

What you will see before confirming

The confirmation window shows important information about the AI Agent you are about to remove.

Depending on the agent, this can include:

• Agent name
• Current status, including whether the agent is Published (Live)
• Whether an active webhook will stop working
• Number of versions in the version history

Review this information before continuing.

Why you need to type the agent name

AskHandle requires you to type the AI Agent name before the final delete button becomes available.

This extra confirmation helps prevent accidental deletion.

The name must match the agent name shown in the confirmation window.

What happens after deletion

Once the AI Agent is deleted:

• The agent is removed from your portal.
• Its development and production versions are removed.
• Its webhook configuration is removed.
• Its version history is removed.
• Any active webhook stops working.
• A published agent is no longer live.
• The deleted agent cannot be restored.

Troubleshooting

I cannot click Delete Agent

Make sure you have typed the AI Agent name exactly as shown in the confirmation window.

I do not see Dev Settings

Make sure you opened the AI Agent you want to manage and that your account has the required permissions.

The agent has an active webhook

The confirmation window will warn you if an active webhook will be affected. Deleting the agent will cause that webhook to stop working.

I deleted the wrong AI Agent

Deleted AI Agents cannot be recovered. If you still need the agent, you will need to create and configure a new one.
