How can I use my Infobip number for the WhatsApp channel?

I have a number in my Infobip account. How can I use it for the WhatsApp channel?
If you already have a phone number in your Infobip account, you can connect it to AskHandle and use it as a WhatsApp communication channel.
This option is useful when you already own or manage a WhatsApp-ready number through Infobip and want to use that number inside your AskHandle flows.
Before you start
Make sure you have access to the Infobip account where the number is managed.
You will need the following information from Infobip:
- Phone number
- Infobip Base URL
- Infobip API Key
You can find your Infobip API Key in your Infobip portal under Settings → API key.
How to connect your Infobip number
You can reach the phone number setup area in either of these ways:
- From your portal menu, go to WhatsApp Numbers.
- Or, if you already added a WhatsApp node to your flow, click the WhatsApp node and then click Go to phone numbers.
Both options take you to the same phone number section.
Once you are there:
- Select the Infobip Account option.
- Enter the required Infobip details:
- Phone number
- Label (optional)
- Infobip Base URL
- Infobip API Key
- Click Connect number.
After the number is connected, you can use it for your WhatsApp channel in AskHandle.

Phone number
Enter the phone number from your Infobip account.
Use the E.164 format, which means:
- Include the country code
- Do not include
+ - Do not include spaces
For example, instead of writing +1 212 555 1234, enter:
112125551234Label
The label is optional.
You can use it to make the number easier to recognize inside AskHandle. For example:

Infobip Base URL
Enter the Base URL from your Infobip account.
It usually looks similar to:
1abc123.api.infobip.comMake sure you copy the value exactly as shown in your Infobip account.
Infobip API Key
Enter your Infobip API Key.
You can find it in your Infobip portal by going to:
1Settings → API keyThe API Key allows AskHandle to securely connect to your Infobip account and use the number for WhatsApp communication.
What happens after connecting the number?
Once you click Connect number, AskHandle will set up the connection using the Infobip credentials you provided.
After the connection is completed, the number becomes available for use as a WhatsApp communication channel in your AskHandle flows.
Troubleshooting
If the number does not connect successfully, check the following:
- The phone number is entered in E.164 format.
- The phone number does not include
+, spaces, or special characters. - The Infobip Base URL is copied correctly.
- The Infobip API Key is valid and copied correctly.
- The number exists in the Infobip account connected to the API Key.
- The number is eligible to be used for WhatsApp messaging through Infobip.
If the issue continues after checking these details, contact support for help reviewing the connection.
