Gucci’s return process is designed to be smooth and convenient. Whether you purchased the item online or in-store, the brand provides clear steps to ensure you can return or exchange products that don't meet your expectations.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, Gucci requires all items to be in their original, unused condition with all packaging and accessories intact. The following conditions apply:

  • Original Packaging: Include all original packaging like authenticity cards, dust bags, boxes, and any related accessories.
  • Tags and Labels: Ensure that all tags and labels remain attached. Removing them may disqualify your return.
  • Footwear: Shoes must be returned in their original, undamaged box. It’s recommended to try shoes on clean, carpeted surfaces to avoid wear.

Online Purchase Return Policy

For items purchased online, Gucci offers a 30-day return window (10 days for beauty items) from the date of delivery. Returns can be made either by mail or in-store.

  • Mail Returns: Begin the process via your MY GUCCI account or through the delivery confirmation email. Once your return request is approved, you’ll receive a prepaid shipping label. Pack the item securely in its original packaging, attach the label, and ship it through FedEx. Shipping is complimentary, and refunds are processed within 7-10 business days after the item is received.

  • In-Store Returns: Items purchased online can be returned at any Gucci store in the U.S. (excluding outlet stores). Refunds for purchases made with PayPal, Amazon Pay, or Affirm cannot be processed in-store but must be sent to the warehouse.

Please note, shipping charges are non-refundable.

Open Box Return Policy

Gucci allows returns on items that have been opened but remain in unused condition with all original packaging intact. This includes items that were unboxed but not worn or used. Ensure that any associated items, such as authenticity cards or dust bags, are included.

Return Without Receipt

While Gucci prefers that customers provide proof of purchase (e.g., receipts or order confirmations), it may still be possible to return items without a receipt. In such cases, returns may be eligible for store credit at the discretion of the store manager. However, the return must still meet the condition requirements for new, unused merchandise with original packaging and tags attached.

Holiday Purchase Return Policy

Gucci offers an extended return window during the holiday season. Items purchased during the holiday period are usually eligible for returns beyond the standard 30-day window. This allows for more flexibility when buying gifts. Specific details about holiday return periods are generally provided at the time of purchase or can be confirmed by contacting customer service.

Special Items and Restrictions

Some items are subject to specific return guidelines, including:

  • Made-to-Order and Personalized Items: These are final sales and non-returnable.
  • Beauty Products: Must be unopened and returned within 10 days of delivery.
  • Lingerie and Swimwear: Must have the underwear protection intact for hygiene reasons.
  • Vault Items: Vault Vintage and special collectible items have distinct return guidelines, and they cannot be returned in-store. These must be processed through Gucci’s online return system.

Returning Items Purchased In-Store

For purchases made at a Gucci store, items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. Returns must meet the same condition standards—unworn, with original tags and packaging intact. You’ll need proof of purchase (e.g., a receipt) to process the return.

Refunds for in-store purchases will be issued to the original payment method. Note that Gucci outlet locations will only accept exchanges, and certain items like fragrances and beauty products are non-returnable.

Exchange Policy

Gucci allows exchanges for online purchases within 30 days (10 days for beauty products). Exchanges can be initiated through your MY GUCCI account or by contacting a Client Advisor. Exchanges can only be made for the same item in a different size or for items of equal or lesser value. Please note that exchanges are subject to availability.

For Vault items, due to their limited nature, exchanges are not possible.

Refund Timeline

Once your return has been processed at Gucci’s warehouse, refunds typically take 7-10 business days to appear on your original form of payment. PayPal, Amazon Pay, and Affirm purchases will follow their respective refund timelines and processes.

If the item was purchased using Affirm and the return is processed within 30 days of shipment, your loan with Affirm will be canceled. If processed after 30 days, the first loan payment may be charged but will be refunded once the return is completed. Any interest accrued beyond 45 days will not be refunded.

Gifts and Returns

If you received a Gucci item as a gift, you can return it under the standard return conditions. However, refunds can only be issued to the original purchaser’s payment method. Gucci does not offer direct exchanges for gifted items, so you’ll need to process a return and place a new order if you wish to exchange a gift.

Delivery Charges and Non-Refundable Items

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a Gucci error. Customized items, sale items, and certain final-sale products may not be eligible for return or refund.
