How to set up Greeting Message and Interactive Options?

Initiating a conversation with AskHandle, users are first greeted with a message. This initial interaction comprises two default components: the greeting message and the interactive options. In this article, we'll guide you through setting up and customizing your greeting message and interactive options to provide a more engaging experience for your users.

The Greeting Message

To configure the greeting message:

  1. Navigate to Appearance.
  2. The first option under Appearance allows you to craft your chatbot's greeting. Input your desired message in the provided text area and click Save.

For a more personalized touch, incorporate {username} into your greeting. For instance, a message like Hi {username}, how can I assist you today? will address users by their names.

By default, the {username} functionality is activated. Should you wish to deactivate it, you can do so under the 7th option in Appearance. If you opt against collecting names through a pre-chat form, the chatbot will default to addressing users as "User" even if {username} is used.

Setting up Interactive Options

Interactive options are AI-powered, quick-reply buttons that provide information with a simple click. Unlike static buttons, they offer dynamic responses. The text on each button acts as a query or prompt, which the AI uses to generate answers based on the fine-tuned data you've provided.

  1. Locate the "Edit" button; they can be found next to the interactive options in Command Center.

  2. Click on the "Edit" button to open the interactive options' settings. Here, you can change the text on each button to better suit your needs.

  3. After editing the text, make sure to save your adjustments by clicking the "Save" button. This will ensure your changes are applied and visible to users.

Removing Interactive Options

  1. Click the "Edit" button next to the interactive option you wish to remove.

  2. In the edit mode, you will see an option to uncheck the "Show Button" box. Unselect this option to hide the button from view.

  3. Click on the "Save" button to finalize the removal of the interactive option. The button will no longer be displayed.

Remember, interactive options are there to make the experience more engaging for the user, so consider carefully how each edit or removal might affect their experience.
